I was incredibly excited about this litter. The female was a hypo salmon with some abberancy and the father was likely my albino stud. Although, I had a poss. super salmontine in with her for 2 days to see if she would get him in the mood, so perhaps I would see action with his intended lady when I put him back with her again, but he didn't seem interested in either of them. At any rate, there were normals in the litter and I don't see any salmontine influence, but I am considering them poss. DH sunglows and het albinos for now!

Now the disappointing part.. the mother must have had suboptimal temps early on, because half the litter was perfect and half was very NOT. I had to cull a couple that were badly deformed... horrible experience! So I have no idea whether the healthy ones with stripes are from the abberant mom, or temp flux caused. We'll see in 2-3 years when I attempt to prove them out.

This is Quasimoto, she has a small kink in her neck, but I am extremely partial to her.. she'll have a forever home here and possibly breed if I determine that it won't harm her at all should I choose to do so.

And another female from the litter that has no abnormalities, but un-named...

There were a couple other nice ones, only one other with a kink of the ten that were ok. Seem they were either fine or very, very not. A sad litter for me.

What do you folks think of my two favorite ladies from this batch?

To me that aberrant female looks Jungle (mother). Or Harly IMO
the pin striping is a little que, and the tail lining, but the
heads look like Jungle heads. And again IMO but I would find a
Jungle next season to breed to her and see whats going on!!

Ya, these babies are from your baby... swell with pride! She is such an amazing looking gal to this day, I was hoping they would take after her. I will post a few of the others when my camera battery is charged up...

I appreciate all the great comments and support! I'll probably be posting some pics of the other kids shortly, but will start a new thread when I do so. Especially since there was one other neat hypo stripe I didn't photograph before my camera died that I'd like to post.
Come to think of it, I am excited to post pictures in a couple months after they shed again too. Gotta love progress pictures, eh?
