Arizona trip

spyiii Apr 11, 2009 02:29 AM

Took a trip out to Arizona for a little herp fun and some fishing with my buddy and his kids. We were looking for snakes, but really only saw DOR's and the temp dropped too much at night where we were looking for snakes. Plenty of little lizards out running around.

Driving the dirt road to the river we saw several basking Collareds, We even saw one down by the river surrounded by river rock he hides under a piece of old wood. Before we left we saw a baby. Temps were about 80-83 degrees outside. The rocks and ground they were on had to be in or around the 100's or more.

Im going to take a temp gun next time to shoot rocks they are basking on and sand temps. LOL maybe my camera next time. Sorry no pictures. I promise next time I will have some pictures.
