YT pairing.

minicopilot Apr 11, 2009 05:33 PM

Today I paired up some very nice looking WC 5-6 foot YT Cribos to see how they'd interact. The male was placed into the females cage. The female who is EXTREMELY wary of everything (intense WC temperament)was out of her hide and very standoff-ish and the male was in his hide on the other side of the cage flicking his tongue like crazy, aware of her presence. After checking in on them every now and then to make sure they weren't hostile to each other I let them be for about 25 minutes. I returned to find the female in the male's hide along with him coiled up together! I put him in with a much larger female (Sunshine) the other day, but she dwarfs him and I didn't want to find him eaten! Went to a show today and saw some fair looking Spilotes and a Brown Tail Cribo. No YT's!!!

Neither one of them came out of the box to eat their favorite meal of F/T chicks. Usually they eat them right away. They are still coiled up with each other!
