possible respatory problem with my snake

darkfall25 Apr 11, 2009 09:14 PM

I have a three year old male corn, recently come out of shed (i didn't brumate him) has been making a hissing sound when i hold him, as though he has labored breathing. He's quite active daily, and has a solid feeding response, and no other signs of ill health. Should this be a major concern, or could this be a passing issue?? (i keep his temps at 83 on the warm side, 78 on the cool side)

Does he vibrate his tail while he's making the hissing noise?

After reading what you typed, it sounds like he could very well be just hissing at you.

hrm...i didn't NOTICE any vibrations, and ive yet to have him act aggressive, (my baby king does that for the both of them :P ) but i could keep an eye out for that (he's never bitten, aside from an occasional snap when he was a small hatchling)
