waspinator421 Apr 12, 2009 11:40 PM

Was cleaning cages the other day and thought I'd take some pictures.

Bellatrix - Female Thayeri

Cypher - Male Thayeri

Fizzgig - Female Thayeri

Indigo - Male BRB

Jet - Male BRB - This guy has amazing color that I just couldn't capture with flash. I'll have to take him outside for some natural lighting shots one of these days.

Kaa - Female Thayeri - She used to be an eating champ, but has gone on feeding strike for the last couple months. Hope she starts eating again soon.

Kiwi - Female BRB

Ludo - Male Thayeri

Morpheus - Male Thayeri

Octavius - Male Thayeri

Periwinkle - Male BRB

Petrie - Male Thayeri - Son of Sharktooth

Rajah - Male Thayeri

Ripley - Female Thayeri

Roc - Female Woma - Patternless

Severus - Male Thayeri - Apparently he was in shed when I took this picture because the next day he left me a skin.

Toulouse - Female Thayeri

Vixey - Female Thayeri

Triumph - Female Nelson's Milksnake

Vulcan - Male Nelson's Milksnake

Just noticed that the second picture of Ludo is a double of the first.... here is what it was supposed to be:

What a great collection of snakes.....very diverse. Those rainbow boas are really beautiful animals......wish they didn't feel the need to bite How do you like the woma? Do you find that to be a docile snake? If you breed all those thayeri, you are going to have the corner market on mexicana here in the future. Keep em coming.

Thanks for the kind words, Russ! The BRBs don't bite as much as people seem to think. The babies are nippy, yes, but if you just handle them they really chill out nicely. Though, when the bigger ones do bite it can be quite painful with those needle-like teeth!

Octavius is looking sharp. Is he a good eater?........Mike Bod

Thanks Mike. Yeah, he eats good, but isn't growing as fast as I would expect. He is healthy though, and thats all that matters!

Aubrey -- You have a beautiful collection that reflects you good eye for outstanding specimens! The thayeri (my admitted favorites) are spectacular, especially Morpheus and Octavius. I wish you a very successful breeding season and can't wait to see some offspring from those beautiful snakes . . .

Tom

P.S. I named the snake below "Bandita" because she has a little bit of masking extending form her eyes, but that letter "U" on her snout has me rethinking her name and maybe I'll start calling her "Ursula". She eats like a horse and hopefully will lay many fertile eggs next year!

Thanks very much for the compliments, Tom! And your Bandita (aka Ursula) looks very nice indeed. I just love those red heads! Good luck getting some good eggs from her!
