I have a 4ish year old boa i rescued about a year ago, he was out on a breeding loan with a buddy of mine a few months ago hes been back now and is eating well i had him out and noticed hes salivating, its clear and doesn't seem to have any distinct smell, and his breathing seems to be fine what should i do. hes in on paper, the warm side of the cage is 92 and the cool is 84 he moves between the two throughout the day his activity and eating seems normal so i don't know whats wrong any help would be appreciated.

Check him again in a few hours. Sometimes if you pick them up soon after they drink, some will come back up and look a little thicker. I've only seen this twice in many years, but it sure freaked me out. Keep your eye on him, for it may be something else that's more serious.

If this continue's I would recommend giving him a fever just to
take out respitory as a possible issue. Just on the safe side...
