Three toed hybrid?

palazzo_photo Apr 14, 2009 11:24 PM

This is what i thought was a female three toed box turtle found in brazos county tx last yr. She has a carapace length of about 5-3/4 inches. She has four toes on her hind feet and her only hatchling this yr also has four toes. Her carapace shape looks a lot like an eastern or gulf coast. Anyone think this could be hybrid able to produce offspring or just likely a three toed with uncommon genetics?

any ideas?
