Can a female be too pregnant?

VFR Apr 15, 2009 10:08 AM

She looks like she swallowed 2 footballs! I'm both excited that I may get a huge litter and I'm also worried cause she just does not look like she's enjoying this. Can a female bee too pregnant? She looks much bigger in person than she looks in those pics.

That does not look comfortable.

I suppose that a female could be "too pregnant" I have heard of females being so full of babies that they compress the female's lungs too much.

Well, I would have to say that's a good sign of a great litter on the way! How much longer does she have, can't be too long! I had a female like that in 06 she did fantastic. My best litter of the season for me! Good Luck!!!

I have never known a comfortable pregnant woman and I'm sure it's the same in boas!!!LOL!

Angel:

Jeremy Stone lost a female a few years ago while she was gravid. His thoughts were that she was caring too many babies and it put too much stress on her body. I'm confident your female will do well and produce a huge litter for you.

Good luck bud.

Gotta love that!

NO! A female can never be too gravid, just gravid enough and that female, young man, is gravid enough! Imagine the gallon of goo she is going to leave you in that cage one day! Great looking cage too by the way!

May you have many more little ones that you dream of and may they be more beautiful than you imagine! Keep us posted!!!

WOW!
