snake in water bowl

JonathanPG Apr 16, 2009 12:08 PM

I know that one reason that a snake would be in the water bowl if for their own treatment of mites, I have four other snakes in the same room in the same freedom breeder rack, no other snake has mites or hangs out in their water bowl, any other reason that my female pied might be in her water bowl, she has been breeding since oct and copulated at least 10 times now, and she has been roaming her cage as well lately, was wrapped around her bowl too yesteday, ate 2 weeks ago and last shedded about a month and a half ago, what do you guys n gals think she would be in her water bowl? Thanks for the advice!

I have just experienced the same thing. My gravid female who never soaks was in her bowl for a couple of days. As of yesterday she just finished her post ovulation shed, so looking forward to a nice clucth in about 20-30 days. It sounds like your female might also be going thru this... hope this helps keep us posted and good luck..
