Can anyone recommend a good JC book?

pythonaddict Apr 16, 2009 08:54 PM

My husband and I have been looking for a good book about jungle carpets. Can anyone recommend one? It would be even better if it covered diamonds and coastals too. Thanks.

The one and only:
"Pythons of the World: Australia" by the Barkers.

They are very difficult to find, and EXPENSIVE!

Only reason I have it is because a VERY grateful client found it and bought it for me...

Looked at the link, my husband and I agreed...we'll stick with the forums, lol. Expensive was an understatement.

Yes- but, it's EXCELLENT!

Probably the best, if not the only published of it's kind...

This one is pretty new and a good book. It was written by Australian keepers and covers the species you are interested in.

I like The Reproductive Husbandry of Pythons and Boas by Richard A Ross.

Ross's book was good, but is outdated with not enough info on Carpets. Barkers was the best for a long time, but the one by the Aussies has more and newer material. Plus, it's only $60. I have both the Barkers AND the newer book, but lately I keep going back to the newer one for the more current info.
