live plants for my soon to be here hog

Hello,

I am getting two western hognoses, a breeding pair, and i want to make there viv beautifull and interesting. i need help finding some live plants, i have a 30 gallon tank so i know i have enough room to put some plants in. i just dont know what plants are going to be good plants. I have a bonzi tree that i wanted to make the focal point of the tank. Are bonzi trees ok? allong with other plants.
if anyone can help me i kingsnake forum can.

I will have my two hogs monday and will be posting pics. as i work on the viv.

I'm willing to bet that there is not enough room in a 30 gallon tank for a plant massive enough to resist the constant digging and uprooting that your hogs will busily set to work at as soon as you introduce them....If I were wanting to set up a planted vivarium, I'd choose a non-burrower such as a rough green or garter snake....

As a Bonsai keeper myself, I don't think that most bonsai will do well under conditions conducive to your snakes....

I would say no to live plants as well. Hoggies will just destroy them. Best advice would be to go with some silk plants that suction to the side of the tank.
