King and Corn???

yankeeslover Apr 18, 2009 10:47 PM

Dumb question..I have both a young corn, and a Young Desert King..both around 12 inches long. They are obviously kept in separate tanks in separate rooms, but is it a bad idea to hold them together at the same time? or will one go after the other? will it stress my corn out? seeing how the Kings usually eat other snakes? Im just corious..I will post this to the Cornsnake forum also..thanks, Pete

I'd be stressed if I were the corn, lol! Why would you need to handle both at the same time? They both are probably stressed a bit seeing how young they are, hold them one at a time and wash the other snake off of your hand between holdings, my .02.

Your corn will be stressed and you are more likely to get bit by your king.
