Here's a list of the organizations that are trying take away your snakes. They will do and say anything to see this bill passed. The so-called fact sheet pictures a Ball Python, but they are calling it a Burmese Python. Look at the other truly invasive animals that they lumped your Ball Python with?

DONT SUPPORT THESE ORGANIZATIONS. EMAIL, CALL, WRITE THEM AND MAKE THEM AWARE OF THE DECEPTIVE MISINFORMATION THEY ARE SUPPORTING. Put the word out... I'm sure many of their members assume these organizations are doing good. This bill will not only destroy many small businesses and take away your rights to own herps... it may actually result in more animals being released and ultimately hurt the environment.

If you haven't joined USARK and PIJAC, nows the time. This fight is just beginning and we need to send out a message that we are strong, united and have the truth on our side.

it's not usually the organizations themselves that are ignorant of what they're doing, they are purposely feeding on the fears of the people who don't know what they're afraid of. Most people don't know the difference between a Ball Python and a Kingsnake, and thereore are the types of uninformed people who push for the passage of bills like this one...

Also unfortunate for those of us that do know what we're doing with our animals and care for them responsibly, there are thousands of people who are not responsible for the animals that they just have to have and release animals like cayman's and burmese pythons into the local environment were these animals are not meant to be and add to the fears of the uninformed...

While I do not agree with that the banning of these animals will solve the problems that are inherent with allowing just anyone to have any pet they want, it is important to understand exactly why these laws are being pushed for...

Actively working to stop this bill is a first step, and encouraging responsible pet ownership is the next step...
