Hypos outside and a jungle inside...

TopNotchBoas Apr 20, 2009 10:23 AM

It felt like a good day for some update shots!

The first one here is an EBV Salmon that I produced in March of 2007. She has developed wonderfully over the past 2 years. Here she is a year ago:

And Today:

And here is a high pink hypo from Jeff Ronne. This guy color has been the most difficult for me to capture out of all the boas I've photographed. He also never sits still. These are the first halfway decent shots I've managed from him.

And last but not least a jungle male I got from Larry Petty of Sunshine State Exotics. This guy is somewhat extra special to me because I sold his mom to Larry back in 2004 I think. She was the first morph boa I ever purchased and I always regretted letting her go. It was nice to get a piece of her back at least!

That's all for today!

Ryan, your photos look great (the snakes themselves are pretty awesome too!).

I have one question, though, I see all of these pictures where people seem to have an all white, black or (in your case) grey background. What exactly are you using for your background and how is it set up to achieve the flat, no edge, no curve effect?

Thanks for posting and (hopefully) finding and taking the time to answer my question!
