Calling Azureus

Hey there,
I was wondering at what age a male Azureues should start calling, mine is about 10 months old. I got the pair from Surian, so Im confident that they are sexed right. I know that their call is not load, but I havent heard anything...

They can start calling from 8 months to a year. I can't really remember hearing mine call, and I produced hundreds of their babies. It is very quiet.

Mine started calling at around 7 months. However, I didn't get any clutches until they reached about 11 months of age. I've only heard the male once, and it was only by a small margin of chance. I had the glass top open while I was dusting some ff's, and I heard a very faint buzz. I peeked around the side of the viv and saw his throat inflating. Even with no t.v. or stereo turned on, it was very hard to hear. There's no way I would have heard him had the top of the tank been closed. They're nothing like pumilio, that's for sure!
