Pinkie mice good for collareds?

hayseed Apr 20, 2009 03:07 PM

Hey all,

Just a quick question. I had some pinkie mice out feeding some of my larger geckos. I tried some on my collareds and they gobbled them up. I gave each collared lizard one each. They seem to have liked them.

Are pinkie mice good for collareds? Any recommendations about how often to include them?

Thanks,

John (Hayseed)

Well any book I've read or any keeper I've talked to and especially when it comes to lizards their opinion is simple. Pinkie's are ok as an occasional food item and not the main staple for them. The collared's diet in the wild is varied and will eat anything that they can catch. So just use moderation and your own judgement as far as how many per month you want to feed them.
