---------------

Heading: Shame on you mister journalist!

Your article is very, very subjective and inconsiderate!
With only two expecptions, no animals are named in your article.
Their side of the story you have not told!
I suppose you think it is quite alright to step on a cockroach, and to some degree you may be right. If you step on a cockroach out in the woods then it will serve as food for the ants, and there is really no harm done.
However, HR669 is about to crush like a cockroach 99% of the diversity in companion animal husbandry in the US, but you make no notice of this in your animals!
In writing about animals in the news, it´s your moral duty to reflect the viws of the lifeforms who can not speak for them selves directly.
Animals have an inherent value, we must not ban them out of our community.
The law has negative consequences for many animal lovers and for many aninmals, yet only the animal lovers are considered in this article, the animals are left out.
You should question your ethics!

animal lovers are not upset, we are taunted into a war we cannot loose.
The Animal rights philosophers of the world, combined with certain corrupt politicians in your government are forcing millions of americans to give up a pillar in our ethics, that the friendship between humans and other species is bad.
This is because our experience tells us that some animals make in deed very good (best)friends, and we will stand up for our friends if you taunt us long enough.
But, do we really need another civiliized civil war in these times of economical crisis?

The "america only for american animals, foreign species begone" attitude has been respected to a profund degree in the american society. If HR669 is passed, it would lead to the biggest extiction of life in America since the civil war. Granted dead humans would have to be replaced with dead animals, in turn many more animals would have to die because of HR669, than died americans in the civil war.

In consideration of animals I will beg of you to write a follow-up article on
"Proposed Bill Upsets Exotic Animal Lovers!" where you include their take on things.
Would you like to go extinct? you give millions of animals no voice!

This is a public letter posted at kingsnake.com first, because I couldn´t find find your email, it is very hard to find on your website. I will rely on my fellow herpetoculturists to relay this letter to you.

Kindest regards
obeligz

but no one reacted.
No one ever reacts..
Given time people believe what they read in newspapers..
If you do not confront the AR in the media they will use it to turn the society against you...
no biggie.. ?
