Hello,

I have been making the calls today and it is a pain in the buns. But I am glad I am doing my part. I wrote the letters and can finally make the calls. Out of about 15 calls so far only two have told me they have are opposed to HR669. Start calling because I think they need to hear our voice. I have simply stated that I am opposed of HR669 for the simple fact of being able to have my children own their own pets of choice.

All done with the calls and only 4 would tell me they where opposed, with 2 strongly favoring to be against as well. The BILL is on the floor right now and if you go to:

Just being realistic, I won't be the least bit surprised if this thing does go through. People are stupid...especially politicians, and they're very afraid and ignorant when it comes to big scary animals...especially ours.

So what will we do if this thing becomes "law"? Sorry if this is unpopular speech, but these ideas have been rolling around in my head since this whole ordeal started. In the bill it states that all breeding will become "illegal". Haha, I'm not gonna stop breeding my animals. As far as selling them, what will the penalties be? How would they catch us? In case nobody noticed, just because our Government deems something as prohibited, by no means does that mean it stops being done.

I'm just saying..."laws" have never stopped me from doing what I want to do, and this sure as hell won't stop me either. (Just for clarification "what I want to do" has NEVER and will never hurt ANYONE). We're not hurting anyone, so...I say "Eff em". Hopefully there are enough people that aren't afraid of this idiocy that we can at least move Underground if necessary. The question will just be how exactly we do it. Obviously things will change drastically but it doesn't have to be the end of the world. There's WAY more than 1 way to stand up for YOUR rights...Live Free or Die. It's the ONLY choice as far as I'm concerned.

I wouldn't normally consider myself the "rebellious" type, but I am with you here.

There are completely unqualified morons out there keeping monocled cobras and stiletto snakes who have as yet to be arrested. Snakes that WOULD cause damage to human health and safety, let alone the ecosystems. All of these are *currently* illegal and we can plainly see how effective those laws are.

Therefore, I will keep, I will transport, I will even breed them if I so desire.

They do not directly state it as a law. However, most states consider keeping venomous species a gross violation of health code laws.
