Care of RETF eggs

sinbadzeus Sep 12, 2003 05:24 PM

Can anyone provide some advice on caring for the egg mass of redeye tree frogs?

humidity, container setup, etc.

I seem to lose quite a few eggs after 3-4 days, and the tadpoles don't seem to "hatch" as quickly as they should. Some tadpoles start to develop, then stop after 5 days or so.

Any tips/suggestions?

put the leaf that the eggs are on over a container with water (to catch the emerging tadpoles). Keep the tempurature between 74-78. If the tadpoles are fully formed in the egg, try misting them and this will help them emerge...

When they emerge and drop into the container, move them to a rearing tank..

Hope this helped..
