This morning I reintroduce my male pueblan with my female pueblan and BAM!it happen they locked up and I saw his pens in so its for sure I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!
1 question how long dose it take to get to prelay shed and how long after there prelay shed dose it take for them to drop them eggs?
2 when should I put the lay box in?
congrats on the breeding,
usually speaking there gestation is about 40-45 days.So she should go into the blue in about 30 days or so and that will be her pre-lay shed.When she sheds you can expect to see eggs from 5-15 days after the shed but its usually about 10 days.I always wait a couple or three days after there pre-lay shed before placing a egg box in with them.
Good luck and be sure to put that male back in with her several times over the next 2 weeks.
