Hyper active hog

nyoka7 Apr 23, 2009 01:46 PM

My western hoggie has been EXTREMELY active lately. She climbs her leaves to the top of her cage and pushes with all her might on the top of her enclosure. When she falls, she climbs back up. Over and over. I feel bad for her, it seems she's looking for something...maybe a mate? ha poor girl.
Anyone else's hoggie acting this way?

Are you sure she is a female? Males can be restless looking for mates.

Mine also does this when she gets hungry. When was the last time she ate?

Enclosure size? Basking temp? Ambient temp? Hides? Substrate? Age?
