snake stuck! any ideas?!

frostypaws Apr 23, 2009 03:09 PM

OK so my corn (aptly named Houdini) escaped once again last night. The problem isn't finding him, he's STUCK. He's basically stuck between a cabinet and a wall, underneath where his tank sits. The cabinet basically runs the length of the whole wall, so there is no way to take it apart. Right now I'm basically sawing the wood inside the bottom of the cabinet but it's not going too well. He's probably over 2 feet long and most of his body is through, there is less than a foot of him that has to go through to the other side. I have NO idea what to do, he's been there since last night, and I've been home for a couple hours now trying to get him out. I can't pull him because he is basically PINNED between the cabinet and wall, and I don't want to hurt him. Sawing is not going anywhere, unless I go back out and get another small saw. He keeps trying to pull himself through, but it's not working. No idea if anyone can help me but ANY advice would be really appreciated right now!!

he is out. But I think I should rename him as obviously he feels he has to keep living up to his name.

congrats on getting him out, hopefully with no harm done to him. I had a houdini, but was only named such after the second escape. She only managed to escape once more after that, though.

Make sure you seal up that hole as best you can!
