From all of the info that I have gathered on both, it seems like the general consensus is that Marine toads get a little larger (in some cases, much larger). The differences are small (coloration, paritoid glands on back legs). Be careful, I've seen people trying to sell Marines as Rococos. Marines generally go for less than 10 dollars, while Rococos go for about 30-40 dollars.

How to get your wife to like toads; 1.Get a male toad. 2.Get him to hug your wifes wrist (amplexus). 3. Tickle him so he chirps in protest. 4.Say "Awww, he likes you". Note; Make sure he pees first or you may receive bodily harm during this procedure.

I do not fully agree. There is a giant morph of the cantwe toad. But if you are not lucky enough to aquirte one of those, your cane toad will stay smaller than the averadge Rococo toad.
Most Rococo females will reach 8" in lenght.

I don't know what the average size is for an adult cane female. Most of the males I've seen were about 4"-6" max. Most of the females that I've seen in breeding ponds were not much bigger, maybe 6"-8". But, all of the captive raised females that I have seen have been quite a bit bigger, some nearing 12". I've seen a few captive Rococo females that size also. But I've seen more large cane's than rococo's. Of course, I haven't seen nearly as many rococo's as cane's, or, as many long term captives. I've been trying to find one of either for my daughter and no one in my area seems to have any for sale. They seem to be falling out of favor from all of the press about them taking over in Fla and Tex and being "poisonous". Every time I ask about them, I usually get a stange look, followed by "What do you want one of THOSE for?". This argument can probably be verified on both sides with people coming up with larger toads on both sides. The wild Cane's here in the states tend to be smaller than all of the imports that I have seen. And all of the Rococo's that I have seen tend to be bigger than our Cane's also. It would be interesting to discover why ours are smaller. When I was in Australia, people showed me some old pictures of some VERY large Cane's. But everyone said that they don't get as large now (?). I've heard that there are some large morph's and seen some large toads from these areas but no one seems to be able to get one reliably. So I would tend to agree that the average Rococo is larger than the average Cane here in the states. If you want a LARGE toad, you will probably have better results with a Rococo. Do your research for proper I.D. Like I said before, I've seen Cane's labled as Rococo's. You don't want to pay 40.00 for a 10.00 toad.
