Today I observed this large female Indigo snake searching the dry lakebed for water. She's very gravid and must be quite thirsty to risk exposing herself like that.. what a beauty!

.. these Drymobius are still somewhat active but seem to be getting harder to see. It's extremely dry... plus breeding is finishing..
