The king you found above was an awesome find. Just to give a little history behind that field where it was collected, the area has been rumored for years that it was going to be demolished and developed. There have been quite a few Hypermelanistic kings found here which added to the popularity of the field and the fact that its the last field in this particular area where these kings are found. For years kings from this field have been collected for breeding projects and the excess have been relocated. I only heard of one other king found there this year. I've been told that this area has always been tough to find kings in but with all the collecting that has gone on, there's no doubt it has become tougher to find them. I hope those rumors weren't true but if the collecting continues, it might become one of those spots that just have stories about what kind of kings used to be there.

A couple of females I found there in 2006.

And the male hyper from 06.

I really like that first female from '06. I'm interested in field herping, where is this spot?

I would like to get the opportunity to get a pair from this area this year. Anyone who plans on breeding them please email me.

Do you still have this female?

It looks like a axanthic.

Yes, but she has changed a little since. She is noticeably different than the other female. I will have to get some pictures up here some time and see what you guys think. Hubbs might know someone who breeds these.

Great photos and quality information there man. Yeah, as frustrating and difficult as it is to find kings there, my stubbornness has paid off for me - well, I still need to find a male there..

Thanks again Ross.
