Congrates Tibor, big time! Those look like albino super motleys, that's my guess. Keep us posted on the litter! Sweet dreams tonight.

LarM Apr 25, 2009 03:40 AM

That's what they are,Supers didn't even cross my mind for some reason.
I guess cause the Fem was a Sunglow I didn't think she'd be
a Sunglow Motley

Awesome litter!!!
When you say the male proved out, could that mean he was a Super Motley??? If so, that's awesome!!! Those normals in there kinda through it off from being a Super Motley breeding, but it still could be, since no ones done it before?

Huge CONGRATS either way!

They cant be a super mot produced by a Sunglow. And there are no old enough female or even male Sunglow Mots to produce. So I say there is a snow gene in this albino to albino breeding... Am i right..

Morgans Boas Apr 25, 2009 12:45 PM

Yes you can make Albino Super Motleys by using a Sunglow Motley if bred to another Motley het Albino, or Albino Motley. I don't think that you can make a Sunglow Super Motley though, according to what we know about the Hypo/Motley relationship.

I too am curious to know what the parents were Tibor.

Yes you can make a super motley with a sunglow motley. That is true.. BUT what I was saying is that there are NO mature female or EVEN male sunglow motleys that could have bred this year. So my point is that there cant be a super mot in THIS litter.. See.

LarM Apr 25, 2009 10:20 PM

This was the exact point of my post up above. I was under the impression that no Sunglow Motley
especially a fem were mature enough to produce a litter yet.
No mature / breedable Fem Sunglow Motley exist yet, correct ?.LOL

To my understanding, the sunglow mots where first produced in 2008. There may have been one or two in 2007 but dont remember for sure. Unless some of the bigger breeders kept some very well secrets. Either way a female that bred this year would have to be at least a 2006 and even if there was a 2006 female produce(which I really dont think there was, again with some well kept secrets) then why would someone push such a high quality animal at 2 years. But Im (pretty)sure there are no females sunglow mots that are mature enough.

chris nicholas Apr 26, 2009 02:21 PM

sunglow motleys in 2004, and the first albino motleys in 2005.

Pithons Apr 26, 2009 05:37 PM

Wow, I didnt know Sunglow Mots were produced in 2004. Shows how much I know, lol. Just wondering, how many did you produce in 2004 and have you bred them yet?

chris nicholas Apr 26, 2009 08:15 PM

belongs to Jeremy Stone, have not seen it since.

Here's a couple of pictures..I bred my 06"male albino motley "to a 05 barry berg line female sunglow..
She gave me a litter of 20 babies and 3 slugs yesterday after noon...4sunglow motleys,4-5 albino motleys, sunglows, normal albinos and 1 patternless albino, and another white albino with a slightest motley pattern and 3 normal looking anery-kind of albinos...the bad news the white babies died over night as well the normal anery type albinos..which was expected in my eyes when I saw them...all others are looking good with tongue action and movement...a couple with yoke bellys keeping them warm and forcing them to move around.
All I hoped for ..I got ..sunglow motleys so alls good in my eyes..mother fed last night and thrilled to death.I have not sexed them either and does not matter what ratio I have.
Thanks for all the kind words everyone.
Also would like to thank Chris Nicholas..for his time.
I've been laying low..hoping for some babies this season so now I can get back to posting and sharing with pictures and support for our hobby.

LarM Apr 25, 2009 10:40 PM

Sorry to hear the odd balls all passed on you. I'm wondering do you have any speculation
what might be the case with the odd babies ?
Maybe a stray Anery gene ,so snow babies resulted or some other anomaly maybe ?
Whatever the case kool litter congrats once again !
