We were really excited to see these twin Pastel VPI Axanthics hatch! There were this pair of males and one female in the clutch. I love this combination!

I love this new combo-it is a Fire Woma or a Woma Fire, it really is amazingly fun to see these different combinations.
This has been a great distraction among the legal wrangling over HR669! It reinforces how much we need to keep together and keep our industry growing strong! I love this hobby/job!!

the reminder of why this is all so much fun, and so worth any battle.

Tracy,
congrats! AWESOME combo's.
it does show what we are fighting for and how important our efforts are to protect our rights to keep and breed these animals.
have a great weekend,

Wow-just read your blog Tracy-what a series of misfortunes you had to overcome to salvage this project! Definitely a well-earned pair of hatchlings there.

The Avalanche has already started-it is too late for the pebbles to vote....
... love the Patternless!!!
Question for you!!! Was there a similar appearance to the Hets --however subtle. Any chance Patternless are NOT recessive. I am working with a project (captive hatched male) that is producing nearly IDENTICAL offspring when bred to multiple normals.
I produced 13.12 offspring from three different clutches. Their markers are MANY but SUBTLE. I could mix any of the hatchlings into any of the 3 clutches and I would not be able to identify which clutch they came from. I have held 1 male and all 12 females back.
I am thinking that my animal is a Homozygous Codom rather than a Homo Recessive. I will have likely have female offspring up to size to breed back to father next season.
How common, from your VAST experience, are Codom Supers discovered/uncovered from captive hatched balls? Thanks for you time and opinion!!!

Ya Bill, what gives? Let see some pics of that project.
Kyle and Dave, I appreciate your interest in pictures. It is still a "project". I am not claiming the founding male to be a new morph, have not formally given him a name, or have entertained the thought of selling any of his offspring to the public.
We have all seen MANY people attacked/blasted/challenged by others when they post pics and start making claims about an animal(s) that have not done the required with them to know what they have or whose genetics appear "fuzzy". I am NOT inferring you are those guys. lol
My question to Tracy was theoretical -- not specific to the project mentioned. I have 3 such projects(2 males and a female) that look very promising THUS FAR. I chose the male from this project as an example/illustration. I plan to be conservative about "introducing" animals as genetic until I not only they are in fact genetic -- but in addition, what they do in combination with established morphs?
Trust me, I am not a "Secretive Breeders" who posts an animal and NEVER lets anyone in on the ingredients. I am NOT saying that not disclosing an animals' ingredients is a negative decision. It is, of course, a personal choice each breeder must make. I simply have chosen to know FAR MORE about the animals "I" am working with than anyone else can know who is not.
Rest assured that when/if I PROVE any of my projects to my standard of poof -- I will post ingredients and results!!!
P.S. I am not thin-skinned, guarded, timid, or paranoid -- just CONSERVATIVE!!! LOL
