Which is more rare a peach throat monitor or a blue tail monitor?? thanks for any input...
neither is rare. Both can be purchased(wild caught). Cheers
You should not care which species is more rare. The very fact that you asked this question makes me think you are not ready for either of those species. Peach throats are a much easier animal to work with, but because they are all wild caught they are still difficult. Get an ackie. Tyler
Just because I am simply asking a question as to which a few people are also unsure does not mean I am an unexperienced herp keeper. I was just looking for a uncommon specimen to add to my collection, as of right now I have 3 enclosures outside holding... 2 Green Trees, 1 White Throat and 2 Kimberly Rock's for which i have had for all about 4 years so I personally would consider myself pretty experience monitor keeper.
Hello,
Both are rare as captive bred. I have seen captive bred and hatched peachthroats but have only seen baby import bluetails. Also, as I'm sure you already know Ackies are an all around great lizard not just a beginners "pet"... Best to you- Mike
