CGD and crickets

Tonight when i was dusting crickets with vitamins and calcium i thought why cant i dust the crickets with cgd, has anyone tried it b4 i thought it seemed like a good idea only more vitamins adn morefood etc. what does everyone think about the idea.

It wouldn't hurt to do it once and a while, but it is not a good idea to replace your regular supp. with it. The cgd is formulated as a complete diet by itself with the proper ratio of phosphorus and calcium. When you dust and insect that is high in phosphorus you throw off that ratio. Bottom line, if you use it as your sole supplement, you could wind up with a gecko that has MBD. You can use the t-rex Leopard gecko dust for dusting your crix. It contains all the great ingredients of the other superfoods diets with the right amounts of vitamins and minerals for dusting insects. Hope this helped.
