Mark warned me that if we saw a king from the canoe that Phil would put us all in the drink in an effort to get there first. Ha ha. We had a great time and put out a bunch of tin for the next trip. The kings are hard to find in the county we are in but they are there. The great thing about this spot is that I have been going there for thirty years and have NEVER been there without catching or seeing at least one snake.
That Z looks very similar to a Kern Plateau female that I have.
You'll have to stop buy and check out the menagerie, on your way
down to Va. Bch. Watch out Howie! Here we come!! LOL!!!

the drinking class!
Ya know it's kind of a shame those copperheads have those two long teeth because in my opinion they are some of the nicest looking snakes in north america. The ones I have dealt with don't like to be handled all that much as well. Guess I wouldn't like someone pulling me out of my house with metal tongs either!!
