Somebody just gave me a pair of Nicaraguan Dwarf boas. I have never heard of them. How do you distinguish the difference? Any info would be most helpful.
Thanks

CA Boas have a Red or Pink spot on the back of their neck. They
ALL have them
What is CA Boas mean? So what are they sell for? I have never heard of them and I cant find a lot of info on the net, so I would imagine they are not cheap. Any info will help thanks.
Central American Boa. They are a dwarf'ish species. They stay
smaller than Columbian Boas or BCC. They are actually pretty
cheap in the pet trade. Some have Circleback patterns, but
either way they are mostly a lot darker than Columbian BCI. Some
of these dwarf Boas stay Small (my female Tarahumara is 27" at
5 yrs old) While other Central American Boas being 5-6 ft in
length.
This Nic doesn't have the orange blush on the neck.

Amie
I can see one. It is faded and on the lining in the back of the neck.
Here are two better pictures of the same fellow, that were taken on the same day, in different lighting.

I think what you're seeing is a trick of the light.
Amie
I guess you were right. A rarity or a cross, one or the other.
Either way the Circleback pattern is very nice and deep. Have
a great one!!

He's not a cross, but I will admit he's the only Nic I've seen without the blush.
By they way, most (if not all) Caulker Cays do not have the color on the back of the head.
