Stuck at home....

Jeremy Pierce Apr 28, 2009 11:43 AM

Hey everyone. I haven't spent much time here lately but after having to have surgery last week, I've been stuck at home. Finally healing up so I took some time this morning to snap some pics. I haven't taken any in months so it was nice for a change.

The first pic is what a call a gettysburg bull. This a by product of the sunrise breedings. It is basically a northern patterned bull that has the southern bull orange/red coloration, hence the name "gettysburg". I really like how they look. I've kept a couple of them back and have had customers keep with me on the developement of theirs and they have really become a neat deal. Anyway. This girl is from 2007.

These two pics are of 08 sunrise bulls. Just a refresher, the sunrise is what I have coined a red influenced whiteside. The first is a female from crumbly lineage and the second a male from wc texas lineage. The colors didn't come out well at all but I wanted to share anyway. The last couple of years one of my pairings has been producing babies with coal black eyes. The male here is one of those babies. I really like the looks of the black eye. Billy yours is a brother to this male.

This is a bull I picked up from KJ last year. The only reason I picked him up was for his pattern, but his color is turning out to be pretty nice as well.

Last but not least is a miami axanthic that I picked up from Brad Lichtenhan in 07. He is EXACTLY what I had hoped for in an axanthic. He's a touch on the ornery side, but with his looks I can easily overlook that!

Really love the Sunrise project you've got going. Do those snakes tend to color up as they get older or do the colors stay light? That odd patterned Bull is great looking. What are your plans for him?

Thanks! I had a picture of the original male at two years of age but now can't find it. I know I posted last summer so if I get some more time (I'm back to work) I'll try to dig it out. He has stayed light but has gotten more color with age. I don't know quite how to describe him. Actually I'll just take a new pic of him this weekend and post it. Hopefully I can get his colors to show up.

The wierd patterned bull will probably breed a couple of different girls. I'm sure I'll inject him into the Sunrise project but have a couple of Crumbly girls that he may like as well.

Thanks again for the kind words and I'll get a new pic up this weekend. For now this is a pic of him a week or so after hatching with one of his litter mates. take care.

Jeremy

that is a different looking pattern, kind of reminds me of an anaconda. here's a camera shy 06 kankakee x axanthic. hope you recover quickly jeremy!

Jeremy Pierce Apr 29, 2009 07:06 AM

That snake is sweet Dan! Talk about an even and consistent pattern!

Thats what I hear most about this young man of mine is that he looks "anacondaish". He's got a great personality as well so I am very happy with him.

Take care and thanks for the well wishes!
