can't find em'

I have one terrapin, little guy about three inches in a big brick square in my back yard; we had a very heavy rain for about
A day and a half, could he/she have buried himself deep enough to where i can't find him? Or could have a predator got him? And what animals prey on these little guys?

Predator, easily.

Or, if the wall wasn't high enough, it could have climbed out.
