Blizzards from Tremper Hets???

ogrimke Apr 29, 2009 05:21 PM

Hello-

This is my first post. I have a question. I have a group of leos that were sold to me as Tremper Hets... So far we've had what appear to be Blizzards hatch out. They do not have Red Eyes though. Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks!

I have not experienced this, but maybe you got lucky and bought double het geckos (Tremper and Blizzard) or perhaps the original seller meant for them to be sold as blizzards and not trempers.....or maybe they had no clue on the geckos' genotype(s).

Again, it's unexpected, but not incredibly odd.

Thanks for the reply. I'm thinking you might be right about the double hets. Should they have pink eyes though? These babies have normal looking eyes... although they are still quite young. I thought Blazings have pink eyes?

blazing blizzards are geckos that express both albinism and blizzard at the same time.

Normal blizzards have normal looking eyes, while blazing blizzards have eyes that you would expect to find on an albino gecko.
