So - I have a female Mojave, and I plan to get a male Lesser or Butter (in hopes of producing a BEL).
A friend of mine is going to buy a male Lesser, and has offered him up as a stud to my female.
My question is: does anyone have experience doing this, and how did you handle payment for service?
Typically in dogs, payment for service is Pick of the Litter.
Is it fair to give him first pick of the clutch, then the rest belong to me? Of course we both want to get a BEL.
Does it have much to do with the value of the breeding pair? His male will cost more to purchase, but my female will be a year older, so their value at the time of breeding will be almost equal.
I'm sure we can come to a civil agreement on this, but I was just looking for opinions and advice.
