emoryi question

Shaky Apr 29, 2009 08:21 PM

Has anyone seen an emoryi with a pale wash of orange?
I had never seen one with anything but the normal browns and grays until lately.
I flipped one a few days ago and released it without getting a picture, but its entire body had a pale orange coloration, including its entire ventral. The saddles were the normal shade of brown. It was male. This is all from memory, of course, but I dont think I'm exaggerating at all.
(I'm thinking I maybe should have held onto it for some photos.)

I think if I go back a few times in the next couple months I can find it again.
I don't think I'd consider it hypo, just colorful, but when I get pics, I'll post them here and the other spot to see what folks think.
SMR has a photo album shot of a chocolate which has similar ground coloration, but the blotches are darker in his. Check that out to get an idea.

yep, lots of mispronunciation. No relatives there that I know of, but I guess we're related not too far back.
