Hunger strike comes to an end...

boredfoot May 01, 2009 05:05 AM

My ball finally kicked the feed response back into gear this morning, in the midst of heavy rains. This time around, she's been off feed since the end of November.

Anyone else having some luck that way these days? Always a relief to get past it again. If you're still waiting, hang in there!

Ah, balls....

I brought a little male I got off Craig's list (he wasn't looking too good, wanted to get him away) out of a hunger strike last night. I think he was too thin going into winter and those months worked a number on him. I had tried f/t rats and mice, live rats and mice, and finally got his attention with an ASF weanling. Hopefully we can put some meat on his bones

Good luck with that new guy. Fortunately, my ball doesn't seem to lose much weight through the winter, but sometimes it seems like spring takes forever to get here. My other pythons (bloods and a woma) eat right on through the winter.

Take care.
