More than just rain is dropping!!! :-D

rainbowsrus May 01, 2009 10:44 AM

Storm front came in last night, checked everything one last time around 1:30 AM and all was as it has been for weeks. Dropped off my daughter for school and checked again and my DH snow has dropped her litter. Same pairing that produced my Moonglow "Luna" last year, TH Moonglow x DH Snow. She was due this coming Sunday so a couple days early but still are full term no yolk babies YAAYYYYYYYY!!!

Quick count shows...

Three whites (Snow or Moonglow) (1/32 odds each)
Two yellows (Albino or Sunglow)
11 Darks (Anery, Ghost, Hypo or Normal)
3 Taters

Look to be fresh out the vent as several had not even broken out of their sack including both Albino/Sunglows.

Mom looked like she was gonna be nasty, tracking my every movement at the window so I gloved up but she gave me no trouble. Letting the babies work their own way free.

A few pics to enjoy until I get them out....

Nice lookin litter you got there! I see atleast one Moonglow in the pix! I can't tell the other two cause of the goo. Oh, and by the way, that was me that yelled for you the other day when you were pulling out of the parking lot after meeting up with Doug. I don't know if you heard me but it looked like you did but couldn't figure out where it came from. CONGRATS AGAIN! I hope this rain doesn't give my female thats due in 2 weeks any ideas!

rainbowsrus May 01, 2009 11:32 AM

Hey Ruben, Yeah I heard something but didn't realize it was you. Sorry I missed ya!!!

Thanks and it's looking like more than one moonglow :D:D:D:D:D

Well Ryan, that was your choice and looks those two like producing Moonglows. Looking like they produced 20 babies in two litters 4 of which are Moonglows!!! And not one single Snow!!! Go figure!!!

Thanks again for selling me those two!!!!!

Dave,

That's AWESOME!!!! Congratulations on a great looking litter. Seeing my first snow boa back in the day is what really got me into this wonderful hobby of ours. I've been waiting to produce snows since 2001. I might finally have my chance at some snows and moonglows in 2011.

Great litter and good luck with ALL the remaining litters you're waiting on. I you're up to your armpits in baby boas this year.

Best,

Jay

rainbowsrus May 01, 2009 11:39 AM

Hey Jay, Thanks and hope my boy is doing great for you!!!

Funny thing is I don't think there are any snows, all three white ones look just like Luna did!!

I LOVE THIS HOBBY!!!!!!!!

That's sweet, ALL moonglows!!!

The boas I got from you last year are doing great. Look to the post above for some updated pics.

Great job with this litter. Can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeves this year.

Best,

Jay

rainbowsrus May 01, 2009 11:45 AM

Got em out of the cage and in a temporary tub....

Group shot....

The three white ones, I'm thinking all Moonglows???

A Sunglow....

And an Albino.....

I see at least one Hypo normal, and several Anery/Ghosts in the remaining darker ones. Will have to work that out as I split them into individual cages.

snake goo in the morning. Nice litter Dave. I'm sure you won't be getting much sleep over the next few weeks as you wait for the rest of your females to drop.

rainbowsrus May 01, 2009 01:09 PM

That's funny, my daughter was saying they smell nasty. I told her it was the sweet smell of new babies!!!!!!

Yeah, this is gonna be a crazy month!!! Looking forward to every minute of it!!!!

Whoo-hoooo!!! Congrats Dave! That is awesome and what crazy odds, almost all the hypos linked up with the albino gene, very neat. Now Luna has some more moonglows to keep her company.

When I was watching the news last night and saw the huge front and rain storm coming in, I had a feeling some of your girls would start dropping.

Can't wait to see more pics!
Take care,

And even crazier odds, all the Moonglows and the Sunglow are females, the Albino is a male.

I love baby season........

Congrats Dave! Nice litter! That pair has done well for you 2 years in a row.

rainbowsrus May 01, 2009 03:41 PM

No kidding, 1/32 odds of producing a Moonglow in a DH x TH pairing. Out of 20 babies born in two litters, 4 have been Moonglows. That's over 6X the odds!!!! I'm not complaining!!
