Housing Males Together....

APLAXAR May 01, 2009 12:33 PM

i was curious how many people do it, and if they have had any problems, i know they generally dont fight with each other like other male snakes might, but just curious on feed back. I have an 06 reverse okee, that i want to place with my 07 abbotts okee, i was just curious if i bredf the okee to my female and put him back in the cage would the reverse get all hot an bothered and cause problems?

there are things that can go wrong, but it can be done.
If you do put them together, watch closely to make sure they both continue to eat and don't show any signs of stress.
feed them seperately and give them about an hour or so before putting them back together.

Don't do it this time of year-you are sure to get rather violent combat behavior. the one that loses may be inhibited from breeding for quite a while...

I don't think that it's a good idea to house males together for any reason. You really need to seperate them in their own seperate enclosures to avoid probblems of stress and breeding season agressive behavior.
