Is it too late in the season......

novicekeeper May 01, 2009 03:50 PM

....to put a male in with another female and have something good come of it? I put two of them together about 2 weeks ago and it looked like they were courting for a while, now the male wants nothing to do with her so I think I'm going to separate for feeding and try again in a few weeks. Is it just wishful thinking or do I have a shot being so late in the season?

They can go at any time of the year. Although it's mainly on the female. The male courting her IMO can get her to start the cycle. But if she's not receptive, not likely to work. All you can do is try and keep a close eye on them.
