Scroll down and read my answer about dumeril's monitors, timor care is the same. The problem with timors is you never see them, they are always hidden.
Good Luck

Hi,
Find the following things on them:

Kirschner, Andreas. 1999. Bemerkungen zur pflege und zucht vom timor-waran der Insel Roti, Indonesien. Herpetofauna 21(123):13-18.

Hogston, John. 1997. Notes on Roti Island tree monitor, V. timorensis ssp. (rotiensis? we'll see), in captivity. Dragon News 1(2):3-4.

Kirschner's talks about keeping and breeding them, and Hogston on differences between them, husbandry and other good advice....
V. timorensis tend to be flighty aggressive species.
Good Luck!

Handling- close the door and put a towel under the crack so the monitor stays in the same room you are in. This will facilitate finding it if it gets away from you or exits its cage before you can catch it. Tame ones can be found but they are the exception.
