I posted a few days ago about which types to mix, but I'll do it quickly again. If you must, mix only from different genera (Phylobates with Dendrobates with Epipedobates, or any combination) or tiny Dendrobates with larger ones (ex: D. imitator with D. tinctorius). I would personally recommend only one specie until you get in tanks of 50 gallons and larger, but this isn't a rule. I would not mix D. leucomelas (the correct spelling...) with D. azureus or with D. tinctorius as they are all closely related of the same tribe. See the post from before, and if you still have questions, please feel free to post. As far as how many, a trio of larger ones would do just nicely. You could do more of certain species, but I feel it is pushing it, and not really worth the extra effort of making visual barriers and extra breeding locations.
Best,
Justin
