I installed two 2" fans to my large cage to add in ventilation and to heat the whole cage a bit more thoroughly. I have had it running for half the day now and it seems to be doing just that. So far the lower temps have raised several degrees and there is a very slight breeze coming out the bottom vents. This is with them dimmed to 50%.

Supplies

2 24 volt DC computer fans
1 AC to DC power converter from radioshack
3' 20 gauge wire
2 fabricated pvcx face plates
2 sections nylon screen
100% rubber window gasket
all stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers

Finished product
(That's reflectix on the top, it also lines the whole back of the cage. Best stuff on earth for insulating reptile cages.)

Ya know... I just realized something... I must usually be REALLY tired when I browse these forums, because I always thought your name said "Tokaysmice" and just realized what it does say. O.o

By the way, thanks for the post about the vent fans, I was just wondering about how to hook up computer fans to the top of my cage, yesterday. ^_^
