Brazilian boa constrictor pics

McCarthyBoas May 03, 2009 08:56 PM

Here are some new pictures I took to day of my 2006 female Brazilian boa constrictor. She is coming along just fine growing her slow so she will have a long and healthy life. I hope to find some new Brazilian's that I like in the next few years as I really like these boas.

When she old enough here is her boyfriend he is a 2005 Brazilian boa constrictor.

Take care

The male is from Eugene Bessette Bloodline and the female is from Bill Cagle Bloodline. I hope to get a few more in the next year or two from other bloodlines so I have a good variety when I breed them. I also will not ever cross breed these guys to any other type of boa as I want to keep them pure. I do like some morphs and I own a few of them. But when I have a pure locality boa I like to keep it that way.

Take care

Very Nice!! Good to see someone working with the real boas that have genetic background. Here is a link to some of the boas I used to have in the collection. You'll recognize the JT Silverback and Lloyd Lemke Brazilian Amarali among others.

Where did the clouded boas go?

They went overseas when the mutant mutt frenzy came along-I could not sell 2 litters of orophias babies and gave up on the nebulosa as it would have been the same. I have a line on both subspecies for this year but I will never sell them to anyone who has mutts (or anyone who has ever had them). Gus and maybe 3 other people in the country have my confidence in keeping these subspecies pure-they certainly deserve working with such rare and beautiful boas.
Thanks for your interest.
