None that I know of, but if you find any (of those or Collett's) let me know! I think Glades supposedly brought in some young red bellieds a few years ago but it could have been one of those "we can get them from Europe" deals. Not sure if any ever actually made it into the country, or if they did, if they survived to adulthood.

I have seen Collett's before, an adult trio in fact, so I know some are around. Glades also had some of them close to the same time they had the red bellieds. It seems like these species get sucked into someone's collection and then are never heard from again. You'd think species like that, with relatively good fecundity, if successfully bred would show up.

I had a number of Collett's Black Snakes in the late 80's and several times in the 90's. In fact a friend of mine Dennis Sargent was bitten by one and I bought his after the bite. In all I'm guessing I have sold between 15-24 Collett's over the years..I believe I had some when Randal Berry was the manager at my business...Randal would remember I'm sure...

I've only seen one live Red Bellied black snake for sale. It was at Hank Molts place around 81 . It was a 4ft. female. I think he was asking $300.00 . I wanted it but knew it would be a complete dead end. Still..........oh well

I ended up with some ugly little things called jungle carpets that Hank said would be gorgeous black and yellow snakes when they grew up. He wasn't kidding.

There were plenty of Collets around for a while in the early 90`s . I guess no one cared enough to keep breeding them. At one point I think guys were just trying to give them away.

The way I remember it, I had traded Tom for the Collets. (this was a little before I worked for him) I think these came from the San Diego Zoo. Long story short, I had these snakes for 2 years, and they were great! They threw a small hood when agitated, but were easy to work. Babies are gorgeous! But when these guy's reached about 30", they lose a lot of that color, sorta like a Bismarck Ringed python does as it ages. Right when I moved down to Lake Panasoffkee to work for Tom, I traded them back to Tom for my first Bushmaster! (good deal in my opinion) as lanceheads and Lachesis were my love. ( and thanks to Tom, I ended up at one time having 17 Bushmasters in my basement) LOL!
I BELIEVE my Collets are the one's that bit Dennis, I could be wrong, and I'll ask Dennis.
