Suddenly wont eat!

mflores May 04, 2009 10:48 PM

Hey people out there. I just got a Ball about a month ago and she was fed a day before I got her and I looked on the internet to see how much and when I should feed her. It said to feed her 2 times a week. She is about a foot. I decided to feed every tues. and sat. Everything was going smooth until last tues. she did not eat. She looked like she was afraid of it. It was the same size as the other ones. What could be wrong? By the way they are live mice. She has not been bitten.

Sometimes they just don't eat. Welcome to the world of Ball pythons.
Give her a week and try again.

How do I know when she is ready? Would anything happen to her cause she is so young? I dont want to keep buying mice if she wont eat them. And one more thing, how often do they shed skin? Thanks for the help everyone.

buy a little rubber made tub, get some bedding and keep a mouse or two in house always ready. try to feed every 5-7 days. when they are ready to eat they will eat.

They should shed 3 or 4 time a year more if they eat alot less if they dont. I find some of mine dont eat if they are to dry. Provide a damp area or bowl large enough to soak in. Mark sisco
