ShowStoppers....

byron.d May 04, 2009 11:03 PM

For as many of these as I've seen over the years.....

They still stop me in my tracks. I love these things today just as much as when I first laid eyes on them a whole lot of years ago..

This here is one of my '07's that I got from Shannon. These are monsters!!! But with cool attitudes!

Thanks for looking.

Nice Applegate SD gopher. Still one of my favorites too. I have 5 amels and a pair of hets. Can't wait to start breeding them.

Thanks Jeff.

I'll be breeding these into my striped applegate line next year.
I've got high hopes for these animals..

Very nice SD Gopher. When you say monster do you mean size?

I have an 08 that is growing pretty well, very similar in size to my 08 lodingi. I doubt that will last for much longer.

Thanks Jeremy.

Yeah, I meant size. This pair of Applegates is considerably larger than pretty much all of my other '07 SD Gophers.

The stock these came from is very large. Maybe Shannon will jump in here with some photos of the parents......

Thanks, can you give me an idea on size. My 08 from Andy B is growing like crazy and is an eating machine.

This pic is from Jan/09

My male is in the neighborhood of 38" - 40". The female is slightly smaller. Both have good girth as well.

Most all of my other '07 Gophers are at 36" - give or take a few.

Absolutely beautiful. A definite show stopper! You said you're breeding your pair next year. Put me down for a male, please!
