Is a 16" by 11" by 5" plastic tub suitable for a hatchling ball python for his first year, or is it too small?

thanks

It will be fine until it outgrows it. Should probably get a bigger tub by the time its 400g or so. Can't put a time frame as snakes grow at different rates pending the individual, temperature & feeding schedule.

thanks

then i guess it should be ok for about 6 months - 1 year depending on the individual snake.

They love a tight living space while their young..I moved some to larger tubs and they stoped eating.. so I moved them back and they started back eating...some almost fill a hatchling tub up..But I try to get them in something bigger at 400 grams so they have room to poop....
