Poor White tank girl struggling!

Rosebuds May 06, 2009 05:00 PM

I have emailed a few people in the past few days about this, but I am really worried about one of my White Tank girls. She laid 3 eggs yesterday before dawn, and has been trying to lay the rest since. I can see the eggs in her sides, so I know she still has at least two in there. She keeps straining, but just can't seem to pass them. I have soaked her a few times as per Eve and Maureen, and each time it seems to revive her some. Is there anything else I can do? I don't care about the eggs. I just don't want her to die!

That really sucks that she is struggling so much to lay the last couple eggs. I'd recommend a warm water bath if you aren't using warm water and if that doesn't work look at a trip to the vet.

She is still alert, but still hasn't finished laying. I am going to go soak her now.

She passed a very soft, broken mishapen egg yesterday evening and seemed better this morning. I am hoping that it broke on the way out and not inside! She is now in the cave over the sand mount with her head sticking out. I really hope she passes the rest soon!

I'm sorry you having problems with mites and egg laying. But congrats on the eggs, that is wonderful news! Good luck.
