Why won't my leopard gecko eat?

papageorgi091 May 06, 2009 11:41 PM

I have a year and a half year old female mack snow leopard gecko. I got her in early January. For some reason she will not eat during the day, and when she decides to eat she only will take one bite then drop the food out of her mouth. Does anyone know why this behavior is being displayed by her?

Try feeding just before you go to bed or early in the morning when you wake up. These guys are nocturnal and it appears she is finally going back to her normal cycles. Just try again at night. What are your cage temps and humidity levels day/night.

Well their cages are at 88 degrees during the day and around 70ish at night, and the humidity stays at the same levels. I leave mealworms in her bowl over night, but she won't eat them.

What substrate are you using? Is she pooping?

YEs she has normal bowl movements, I think it's because she eats her sheded skin. And I have all my reptiles on paper towel, and she is not sick, I mean I even got her examined by a vet. Should I try and use a appetite stimulant?
